Lakmē Fashion Week x FDCI introduce the Sustainable Fashion Dictionary, a first-of-its-kind tool to make sustainability accessible and easy to understand. This Dictionary is more than just a glossary, it’s a must-have handbook for designers, brands, retailers, journalists, and conscious consumers who want to make sense of sustainability without the jargon overload.

Designed as a living resource, the Dictionary will expand as new ideas and innovations emerge, reinforcing Lakmē, LFW x FDCI’s leadership in building a transparent, inclusive sustainability movement.

The Sustainable Fashion Dictionary was created collaboratively with Industry experts like designer Karishma Shahani Khan and Orsola de Castro, Co-Founder & Creative Director, Estethica and Co-Founder, Fashion Revolution, who also writes the foreword.

True to its philosophy, the Sustainable Fashion Dictionary, printed on paper made from secondary waste like fabric offcuts and other residual matter derived from textile, garment manufacturing & agro-based industries, is being lauded by leading designers, media & academia alike for reinforcing it’s commitment to sustainability in both form and content.
